What is Intuniv?

It is a medicine to treat ADHD(Attention Deficit Hyper Activity Disorder) in children who is in between 6 to 17 years old. It is long acting tablet that is taken once daily, normally in the morning. Intuniv Dosage

Swallow tablets whole. Do not crush, chew, or break tablets because this will increase the rate of guanfacine release.Extended-release tablets come in intuniv  1mg, 2 mg, 3 mg, and 4 mg. The recommended dosage is one to four mg, once daily in the morning or evening. It may take three or four weeks before any improvements in ADHD symptoms. Donot suddenly stop this medication because it causes unpleasant symptoms.

Intuniv Overdose

If any of the following symptoms of overdose occur while taking intuniv drug, get emergency help immediately:

Symptoms of overdose:
1) Dizziness (extreme) or faintness
2) unusual tiredness or weakness (severe)

Missed Dose of intuniv

Take the missing dose as soon as possible, or skip it if it is close to your next dose. Do not "double up" the dose.
